Cultural Adaptation of ACTaide

ACTaide is currently undergoing a theory-informed cultural adaptation to expand access to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) across languages and contexts. This work follows an iterative, user-centered process to ensure that translated content maintains clinical fidelity while remaining culturally relevant and accessible.

The first adaptation focuses on French, with the goal of developing a version suitable for diverse French-speaking populations globally. The process includes forward and back translation, expert review by bilingual ACT clinicians, and usability testing with both therapists and end-users.

This work represents an important step toward increasing accessibility to evidence-based psychological interventions across linguistic and cultural contexts.

Interested in Collaborating?

We are actively seeking collaborators interested in translating, culturally adapting, or testing ACTaide across diverse linguistic and cultural contexts. This includes adaptations within English-speaking regions, such as the United Kingdom and Australia, French-speaking regions, such as France, and other languages.

We welcome researchers, clinicians, and teams interested in contributing to the development, evaluation, and dissemination of ACTaide internationally. If you are interested, please let us know the language and cultural context in which you would like to adapt or test ACTaide.
